CHIMAIRA To Enter Studio In October

August 18, 2008

Cleveland, Ohio-based metallers CHIMAIRA are tentatively scheduled to enter Audiohammer Studio in Sanford, Florida in October with producer Jason Suecof (ALL THAT REMAINS, GOD FORBID, TRIVIUM, DEVILDRIVER) to begin recording their new album. Around four new songs have been completed thus far for the follow-up to 2007's "Resurrection", which is due in early 2009 via Ferret Music in the U.S. and Nuclear Blast in Europe.

In other news, CHIMAIRA has posted a previously unreleased song from the "Resurrection" sessions entitled "Kingdom Of Heartache" on its Facebook page.

CHIMAIRA played a one-time celebratory show to honor its 10th anniversary as a band on July 12 at Peabody's Down Under in Cleveland. The group performed "a unique blend of songs from the first 10 years of our career," according to a press release.

CHIMAIRA recently released a digital-deluxe version of 2007's "Resurrection" (Ferret Music) via iTunes. The iTunes-exclusive version of the album, which came out in June, includes two bonus tracks, "Kingdom of Heartache" and "Paralyzed", as well as well as a video guitar lesson from the band's renowned guitarist Rob Arnold. The lesson was taken from Arnold's contribution to the Rock House Method instructional DVD series.

CHIMAIRA has made the limited-edition bonus DVD from "Resurrection" available for purchase at the Ferretwebstore.
